I *always* want to go!

I just don't know when I can go. My ATVing friends will be there next week - but I won't. That makes me REALLY want to go!

Still broke & quadless. Someday, I might even do the Jeep Thing too.

Superlift

It's been a while since I've been around but I'm still driving the old truck, she's up close to 210,000 miles now.

Dmax,

I'm going to Superlift this weekend if you want to go. The jeep ain't running all that well, but I'm going anyway. It's been too long since I've been anywhere.

I'd like to go to Turkey Bay sometime late spring early summer as well.

I just might see you there then, cause I've been laid up at home nursing a hamstring injury and probably won't be going back to the boat until the 23rd. How's your Jeep built anyways?

'87 straight 6 (that burns a bit of oil), T-18 & NP205 (twin stick) out of a bronco, Ford 8.8 w/ e-locker, 33's. The winch isn't working to well right now. The solenoids click but the motor doesn't turn.

So we're about on the same playing field then, although you're a good bit more trail capable than my CRD. I know the park pretty well, and I'm confident taking it on any lev3 trail they have except a few that actually should be 4's.........such as Ravine, and Windshield Hill........I definitely won't bother attempting. Couple more on the borderline 3/4 rating like Fun Run and Jagged Edge I just don't know, cause the last time I was there on New Years, I didn't get a chance to see their current condition.

Your knowledge of the trails will certainly help, I've never been there before. I'm also a bit rusty since it's probably been a few years since I've taken it anywhere.

Are you on Mid South Jeeps? If not, it's a great group!!! All I can suggest is try and get your YJ running as good as you can before the trip, or you'll have miserable time on the many steep/rocky sections of the trails that make up alot of the park.

I'm not on that site, although I've seen it and have thought about it. Maybe soon. The jeep was running a little better yesterday but it's going on the trailer tonight and it is what it is. If it gets too bad I'll just ride in my friends jeep.

Well, I had fun right up until I busted the front diff housing about 2 hours after we started.......about 1130am Saturday. Looks like that solid axle swap project I was planning this fall just might get expedited!!!!! I don't know about Billygoat, cause they were still in their tent when we headed out, and the last I saw him he was huddled inside his open-top YJ soaking in the rain........LOL!!!! I offered him and his companion room with us at the hotel, but never called or txt me back and when I got back to the park, he had let out. Sure hope he didn't go missing.

We had a great time Sat. I am glad the rain held off till late in the afternoon. The rain was refreshing but I'm not sure I would have liked it if it had been an all day event. Thanks for the offer on the room, but my cell phone never showed the call or text until Sun. and after the couple that came with us found out we were going to a hotel since our tent started leaking they decided they would come along so we split a room with them. By the time we got everything loaded and in to get a room it was a bit late to go back to the park to eat BBQ.

Thats cool......I was really hoping to wheel some with ya, but like I said......you guys were still sleeping I guess when I headed out on the trails Sat morning, and the CRD was busted by noon ending my trip short.

what's up guys.. Dropping in to say hi and see how everyone is doing..

I now have a Goerend Trans. Billet flexplate, input, and all the neat little internals that Dave recommends.. McMopar on this site did my install. he is in N.C.. Great guy, and does fine work..

Well, I got to go put a new U-Joint in, made one start squeeling last night. I guess that is what happens when more power hits the ground.. The II Dragonflow 60. h.p. nozzles, and a new trans will do that I guess.. My old girl has 183k miles now.. kind of high for an 03, but oh well. I put most of them on her.
