I'm enjoying it, and the mountains are beautiful, all snow-capped even though it is June.

The bad news is that a lot of the high-altitude 4-wheeling trails are still impassable. BTW, this is not the "normal" condtions. Colorado has had a LOT of snow this year.

**** weird to see you up this late!!! Yah everybody.........................bad bad bad news for me!!!!! Ben said when the head shop planed down the head to flatten it out, they found several thru cracks between valve bores. So it looks like I'll be eating this one cause its non rebuildable and getting a rebuild from Cummins plus their core charge.

Well, cause the cyl. head is toast, i had to order a new reman head and eat the cost of the core charge. Good thing is one of the local shops hadn't updated their price increases!!!!!! Everywhere in Memphis area and a couple local (even Cummins) was $1105-$1180+ $250core and $189-$210 reflecting the new prices obviously set by Cummins. Cause when I checked back in March, the set price was as below.

Head: $940+ $170 core
Gasket set: $160

dang SS, just killed that poor gal huh...

Well, here i am to say howdy once again.. New news for the GA boy is: truck is for sale. Added her to the classifieds today.. Set the prcie at a descent comparable rate as other 03's, but i will negotiate on that one.

I hate to do it, but I have no use for the truck no more. I will be getting married in August, and will be buying her a Fusion if i can get the truck sold. Then driving her car for back and forth to work getting 30 mpg.

I still have my dads wrecked 02 2500 witht eh CTD in it, so now I will be looking for the 79 4x4 F-250 body to put that in, so I will still have a CTD, just will be a lil while before I can drive it...

If anyone has any hints on that install I would be glad to hear them.

Darn, heppy only comes back to tell us he's leaving the fold!!!!! How sad. And nah Happy, she's not dead, just hibernating a little. Good to see you thought about us poor MSDTR guys enuf to say hello/goodbye. And while I'm thinking about it, you don't have a need/use for Smarty now, so how about a donation to my build fund????

SS I ain't leaving the fold.... Just changing my appearance..

I have a nibble on the truck, trying to just reel em in now...

I will still have a Cummins. My dads wrecked 02 has an engine and trans and tcase ready for my project truck.

If my truck sells, I have an f-350 that is an early 90's model that I can get for $1000. Perfect truck to receive such a great engine..

so Dmax, I might need to call yah so we can map out how to do the elctrical on that thing to get all the brains and boxes and sensors working right for this swap.

Anyone else have any ideas for this project? I am excited to get that VP44 exhaust note back

I'm still here. Just been on the boat the last month. Hard to find the time to get online while out here ya know! Ben has been busy with work and other things of late. Prob gonna stop in the day I get off Wed. to get some work done.

Things have been slow around here for a while now, cause with the truck down, there hasn't been much to chat about. Believe you me though, when she gets up and running again, I'll be back in it hot and heavy!!!

Which reminds me, I found out thru a friend that a D-max truck has been showing its *ss lately around Pontotoc (a town next door to me). Never came across the guy, but a few people iI know have spotted a big jacked up QC SRW 4x4 GMC with a custom paint job and stacks in the bed blowing some black smoke. Its a small town, and a truck like that willl draw attention and won't be too hard to find. So it looks like I'll be on the hunt for a showdown with this yahoo as soon as the ol' Dodge gets done.

Too bad Pontotoc isn't a lot closer to Memphis.
I'd go "fishing" for ya, see what he does.

No way I could keep up with you, but my truck is a little bit quicker than it used to be.

OK guys, Streetsmoker is off the boat. Let's get his truck back together!

I'm pretty flexible as far as the date/day-of-week/time; Just don't look for me THIS SATURDAY - my wife's birthday!

Oh yeah, if anybody is hungry, I got a fresh truckload of Duramax, just killed one this afternoon.
