How many pins in the connector? 4, 5, 6, or 7

 

Thanks guys for all the support. I would die before I would ask for help from anyone. Thats just not me. I think every thing will be ok in time, but only time will tell I guess. I have learned a lot about life and people in the last few days and I must say, this is the best group of people to hang around with in the world. There are lots more things that I dont understand about life but I hope to learn them some day. I know the road I am most likely headed down but I am strong and I hope I will make it.

I do get the chance to get a second job now. I had to think about what I wanted to do part time on weekends only that will pay enough to help out.
I decided I am going to try and get a job driving a dump truck on the weekends. I think I will enjoy it and I still get to stay around the trucks.

Well I've been out for a while, moving and such. Come back and all kinds of crap is going on. I see Dmax's truck for sale. I had to go back a couple pages to find out why and see that Prospector tried to fly(really glad you're okay).

That brought back a pretty bad memory. My friend and I were working out in Southern Calif. and he took a dive off of about a 35' building. I had to hold him still while life flight came to get him. Scary crap right there. He's okay and I'm glad you are too!!

Dmax, I feel for you. I don't know everything that's going on but I understand financially what you're going through. I'm selling everything I own to try to stay on top. It sucks believe me.

Billygoat, my friend trailer hates my truck! Everything works fine on his truck and other peoples, but when you hook my truck to it nothing works right. Lights, brakes, everything acks werid. Finally figured out there was no ground between my truck and his trailer. Didn't know why and still don't. Just added a wire to his trailer to hook up to my plug when I use it.

 

Hey DMax Patrick........Just droppin to say hi and sorry to hear about your troubles. I saw your truck in the classifieds and I thought....man..what is going on here?

Please stick around and stay on DTR. You always have great advice and just a pure pleasure to be around, talk to, read threads from. Of course, I don't know you that well...just the one day at your house back in June or July. I wish you all the best and whatever is going on..........this too shall pass.

It's a 6 pin. The brakes have always worked. The last time I went to pull it if I remimber correctly the brake lights and turn signals worked but the running lights didn't. I tested all the pins and figured out what each one was and none of them were the ground. It turned out to be a broken wire under the truck. I'll figure out what it is after football season is over, I won't need it before then anyway.

Prospector, glad to hear you are alright...I know you like planes and all, but you know humans still can't fly under their own power! I hope everything is well, relax and get better! I guess you got your 15 minutes of fame!!

Dmax!! Who is gonna come calling now when I type, "Newcastle" in any posts?? I hate that you have to sell your truck.....I know what it is like. I sold an old Ford that went to heck and back with me and when I sold it it was like I was losing an old friend. I hope everything works out in your situation, if you need anything just let me know 931-446-0433. I know I am a ways away but oh well. Second jobs are'nt to bad....you get used to it......being busy all the time, but when you have a chance to stop and do you own thing it makes it that much better. I work at toys r us at night, my day job and the other stuff I do and when I get a chance to be with the family it's that much more special. I hope to see you at the meets at least, that is if street has enough time anymore to organize one!!

I know how it is though, I can only get on here about once a week now. Too tired during the week so I still have not planned the spring dyno......

 

Trust me, I won't be going anywhere anytime soon as far as the club here goes!!!!!

I have the smarty, and it is available for a test run for you, but think hard about the post going on now about Luken's truck. He had a lot of stuff on his truck when he downloaded, but it sounds like to me his BD corrupted his ECM, but I am not sure on that either, just what it looks like...

Marco has caught some crap I tell yah. haha

I am really enjoying mine, but I have to get some tranny mods doen before long, or I am gonna be walking....

Gee, is there *anything* we can do to help out the situation?

I know I'm going to need a "drive train vibration specialist" to check out my truck sometime soon, and no doubt I'll have more projects in the next few months that I cannot do while my leg is mending. Have cash & Newcastle.

Also, my camper still hasn't sold yet - in case you need a cheap place to stay until you get back-on-your-feet.
