MODTR-30 Chapter thread

Unless you mean something else, I didn't notice anything wrong...
i havent seen one of these with the head off up close and personal... all i could tell was soemthign was different with # 1....

Are the piston heads on these cupped? It looks like there is still an open area in teh center of #1, instead of seeing the full piston head..or is just me not knowing what I am looking at?
My question is that since you removed that cam why did you keep the tappets in there? Just a thought. I would have dropped them, cleaned them, measured and inspected wear and so on and so forth. Although, I'm also very picky when it comes to building an engine. Just a thought.
Darin .... you have any old chainsaws that you want to sell ?? I need something bigger than this dang "chick sized" chainsaw
.

Is that a stab at me or what.
I use chick chainsaws all day long. You know the kind that weigh about 8lbs with 12" or 14" bars.
Of course if you really wanted you could buy my 14+lb saw with the 20" bar and wear your back out bending over with it
.
Call me chick all you want.

Some people call me a lumber jack untill I pull out the chick saw
. Then I tell them I'm a arborist... What's that.

You need some help over there. All you have to do is ask. I'll cut it up for you, and you move it to where you want it.
Is it raining over there today?

Yes, they have a "bowl" in the top, that's where you squirting the fuel from your injector into...

My goal that evening was to get the cam out, nothing more and I snapped a pic before I left. Today I'll head over, drain the oil, flip it, take the pistons out and look at the lifters.

Nope ... no stab intended. I may just not be using my "chick saw" right. I figger that I'm taking so long to gnaw through some of the bigger trees that the chain goes dull. Wanted to get a bigger one to make short work of it.
I did sharpen the chain recently ... haven't used it since then so I may be spitting in the wind
.
Just cleaning up some of the overgrowth and thinning out the woods around the house. Trying to get a few stacks of firewood drying as I go.
Raining ???? I just saw Noah hoisting anchor out in my pasture !!!

Ive got goooood chainsaw. The vary best walmart had to offer. The paint scheme is neon green and i was rockin for the first little branch after last years ice storm and then the chain came off, and again , and again .........
That is my only chain saw experience and its still broke. But atleast I dont have to look at it cause it came with this cute little case.
Do we call that a chic saw or a Gretchen Wilson saw? I dont know the name has got to be worse somehow.
So that must be like a

The "chick saws" are the only way to go with all this storm damage crap. Why lug around a 15# saw all day to cut up 3" branches? I made up a sawbuck out of some scrap lumber to get it up off the ground and I can cut all day without even really working.
My saw is an 18 inch bar, and for the vast majority of what i use it on, a lttle 14 inch would be soooo much easier to use............
Brian, Ok, so it was me not knowing what I am looking at!!
but I guess thats how I'll learn.............
