Lost my phone/DSL until late today but that was our only casualty. Couple trees got hit by lightning but I got plenty more.

If anybody needs help picking up the pieces let me know.

Yea, my aunt, uncle, cousin and her boyfriend also live about 1/2 a mile from the school and saw the whole thing as well. I heard it was bad, alot of damage. My aunt has lived there for almost 30 years and she said last night was the worst night ever for them, that includes back when battlefield was leveled. I guess there is be some cleaning up to do when I get back. They said the count is at 2 right now but I think 2 others are still missing. Still for what went through there, it could have been alot worse. I was watching it on NWS radar (friend of a friend gets me cool things like this) and you could see in each super cell there was a perfect chance for tornadic activity. Have they said how many may have touched down or has that number not come in yet?

I lost about a half a square of shingles off the house and have quite a few tabs sticking up that I'll reseal this Friday. Lost some metal off the shed and found it about an 1/8 mile from the house out in one of my pastures. The TV antenna blew over but at least KY3 was still coming in. And we still had the satelite. It scattered my smoker all over the yard and piled the lawn chairs everywhere. Plus I have two yellow spots in the ceiling to fix from where the shingles blew off during the rainstorm. We received 3 inches or so of rain overnight. But at least I still have a house and none of the horses were hurt.

Glad to hear no one was hurt and no major damage was done. Minor things like singles, chairs and a bit of sheet metal can be repaired.

Glad to hear you guys made it through with only minor damage. You didn't lose any of those new windows did ya ?? I have a number for a decent roofing guy (local) if you need it.

Cheers,

nah, The new windows came through great. I grew up building houses so roofing is kind of an easy job to me. I was thinking about installing a metal roof this summer anyway.

I work in Marshfield and north west of town took a very direct hit. It destroyed at least a dozen or more homes. It was a very nasty storm.

Pack is MIA. Like his lil' brother said .... we probably won't hear from him til he runs outta money .

GearJammer ... did your place take any damage ?

Mike .... I hear ya on the metal roof deal. That's what we wanted to put on when we did ours this summer ... but ended up going with asphalt shingles again anyway. I would've rather had the metal though.

I think it has been "postponed" for now. Almost everyone has something else going on right now. But, we will try again later.
