How was yer Christmas Darrin? Hope it was as good as ours was!
This one weighs 10lbs, seems pretty light after slinging the father's saw around for the last few years. I went to pick it up out of the box and nearly threw it through the ceiling in the living room.

It was a good Christmas. We smoked a turkey and it was awesome. Gonna fire it up again this weekend and cook some pork butt, chicken(s), ribs and a brisket... fill that sucker up and cook enough to make it through January!

I plan to have potatoes, but I'll provide my own, thanks anyway Travis. You can come over though, you can finish yankin' this motor out of the truck... then I'll feed ya! LOL.

GS got a gun?
Now that redefines "armed and dangerous".

I've got room to shoot if you're lookin for a place to go.

I bet. Say, I'm flexible Chris, you just let me know when you can make it and the truck will be waiting...

I thought this country had laws??? How did GS get a gun? You'd think he'd be on at least one list somewhere... The wife swore she saw him on "the board" in our post office last week when she went to work...

This country has laws, it also has stupid people. Didn't get a chacne to take it out today. Looking at tomorrow around 11 or so. With my old S&W .40cal I was pretty accurate at about 20yds. I think this gun might be able to extend that a bit further but I will have to see after I shoot it tomorrow. i knwo the trigger is going to change but after that, not so sure.

Lurch, thanks for the invite. I may have to take ya up on it sometime. I know down in republic there aren't to many places to shoot but I'm still gettin used to the area and the area is already sick of me...

Sat, let me know what going on with the engine. I'm great at tearing things apart. That thing would be out of there lickiddy split, no S..T!

(Psssst .... it's being able to put things back together with a minimum of extra parts left over that makes you "useful")

Just took the dawg outside to pee ... what is this white stuff flying around out here ?? Good Lord ... and it's cold too. I'm gonna go snuggle up to the fireplace ... fergit this crap !!

Hey .... anybody want to get together for lunch in Springfield sometime this weekend ?? Nothing special ... maybe just a burger or sumthin'.
Getting kinda bored staring at all the projects that I really should be working on but ain't... need to get my mind refocused .

PISTOL

25 yards is about it for .45 ACP. Just too heavy and slow for distance. Need less weight or more speed to reach out farther.
Just bought the wife 1 of those resettable targets for Xmas. Need to get out and do some shooting myself.

HMMM, Sounds like DTR gun day is needed. I know where there is a 100 yard range at with a shooting table several different kinds of targets and a trap thrower as well for the shotgun guys. And did I mention that I have a large pasture to park in.

I'm sure there's something important I'm supposed to be doing this weekend but I might squeeze in a trip to the big city.

Gun day is always a good idea. Lets everyone try out stuff they don't know they "need" yet.
But.....do we really want to be around GS with a gun??????

Put 350 rounds through it this morning. Started at 10 yrds was really good. The moved to 15 and 20 and it was fairly good. I had 6in groupings but I think its gettin down to the trigger pull now. I think I'm going to swtich it out as to get more of a feather trigger. This one is a pull and then it will get 3lbs built and then let go and I want it setup for the second it hits 2lbs of pressure to just go, no pull before. Other than that I really liked it.

Didn't worked with it from the holster at all today but I got to break the holster in a bit more before I do so that is a little wait. Hasn't left my hip since I bought it.
