Figured out the problem with the truck, the connection I made for the potentiometer( replaces the TPS) fell apart...guess my soldering skills need work...
There was just no way I was gonna make it driving 60-65 at WOT the whole way.....but I am bummed...

Darin and Rob, thanks for the offer to help, but it would nt have made sense for you guys to drive all teh way back up to KC for that. But it shows what kinda guys you are..A-1!!

Me and stink bait.... I came up with the idea as well..... Can you tell?

We need to get together again. Maybe Bass Pro again and this time we are taking a video cam to get me sliding down the pontoon slide.

 

I know.. thats part of why I like this bunch of screwballs..........

Well ... I for one had an absolutely LOUSY time !!!

Just kidding of course . I had a blast !! I finally got to put faces with the new names, met up with some of the familiar faces and judging by the number of stares and drive-by's yesterday ... I think we are gonna have a few more rolling in next year.

I hope everyone enjoyed the meal (Chris ... I put some cornbread & catfish in a care package for ya ... but I ain't resposible for the stink bait that found it's way in there !!). I will send a letter of appreciation to Hemmingways for putting up with us.

PUFF ... I was hoping that we could help ya with your projects as well. I'm sure we coulda jerry-rigged it for ya and made it work, but that wouldn't have been the right thing to do.
Oh yeah .... and what was up with "killing it" when you were rolling out . (you knew I was gonna rib you about that).

So ... who's setting up the next get-together ?? Maybe an after Christmas BOMB party to install everyones new goodies ??

I enjoyed meeting everyone yesterday. I had a lot of fun. I dont talk much until i get to know people. We should get together again soon.

Yea, it was definately a fun time. We need to get together sooner than next spring. I got to get on the slide on the ponton boat before they move it.

 

interesting... i use to live on 2nd street in battlefield... sold the house 2 weeks before the big tornado ripped through there ~5 years ago
