I will keep looking for a wrenching day and stop in. Or maybe I will see you at the diesel event in Dillsburg, PA.

Anyone replaced the heater core on a 99? Mine is leaking, just steaming the window a little right now but I am sure it will get worse quick. Book has it a 4.5 hours. I have replaced on in a Explorer but how hard is the dodge with the airbag and all?

Not bad....Did mine in 3hours without unhooking the ac line or pulling the entire box out. Biggest thing is dont twist the dash or it will crack up bad...Like mine did.

I believe that Scott has a write up on here on how to do that.

I've done it and don't want to do it again.

Rick you said you did it in 3 hours? That seems impossible. Tell me how you did it!
Glenn said Alldata rates it at 8 hours.
Chris while your in there might as well change the Evaporator core.

I used to work for Dodge/Jeep Dealer in Glen Burnie.....Its not my first rodeo. Doing it the right way like the book says it will take every bit of 8hrs. Also, using the heater core with swival ends on it worked great for sneaking it in there.

Front U-joint

Hey Scotte
Dang that U-joint is gone, the drivers side halfshaft (that was the one right?). Does the whole side need to come apart? should i do brakes at the same time?? At least i can do my own work now.
