the back is easy to drop cause you only have to remove the stock spring blocks but i have been reading on compd where they cut off one loop of the front springs to drop it 2 inches i like the rake look of the truck. just another thing to play with. actually lowering the truck by 2 inches isn't going to hurt me with my towing it would only help since what i tow is boat trailors

Yea you could have a 2wd and have to buy shackles to lower it (since the block under my springs is only about 3/4"). Cutting springs is one way for the front too. I'd like to see mine a bit lower but may re-think that now with a TT to haul around (although it is pretty light for my truck, only grosses out at 5200lbs).

i'm pretty sure my boat weighs about as much as your travel trailer but i have to run a 5-6 inch drop just to hook up to the boat trailer and keep it level.

My boat is heavier than the TT, hehehe. Only have a 2" drop though. You do know some folks think that is sacrilege? I've always had a soft spot for lowered full size pickups, they just look good!

id try to find someone parting out a gas engine 2500 and get the lighter springs. cutting springs will leave you with noises from the uneven spring top in the perch so every bump will sound horrible. and please don't heat the coils to make them soft and fall under the weight of the truck, that is disaster waiting to happen as it weakens the spring and over time it becomes very weak, until the coils bind in the section that was heated and then the ride stinks even more.

your ideal option would be to find someone with a gas truck who might wanna trade for some diesel springs to lift their truck an inch or two, and you can gets yours lowered.

Anybody know of any place local to get like 1/4" aluminum tubing? I have tried the local retail hardware (lowes and homedepot) they don't have anything that small. They hard solid rods but that is to heavy.

Working on a hobby project which will in turn make learn how to braze some proper joints. Then on to welding 101...

Any suggestions I would be thankful.

Peace

It may get pricey, but check fuel or brake lines at the local Salvos.....

ProComp Black Fuel pump $45.00
9 months use $5/mo.
Sitting in traffic with a dead fuel pump Priceless......

Well my ProComp black finally died. Left me sitting in traffic creating a huge pile-up....
So, for my $45 investment, I would say I did alright.....
I hope the Holley that replaced lasts longer, but by the way it is acting, I will have an Airdog in there long before I have the time to figure that out....
The Procomp at least put out a steady pressure.
Under constant load, not Full throttle, the Holley wavers(like this) between 11 and 15 psi.....It just sits there and bounces back and forth, back and forth.....Needless to say, that is why it is going to go away very soon....
