MD Chapter #33 Never Ending thread #VII
Well I need to get a different maniflod I guess, the wastegate scared the crap out of me this morning when it went off, blew it directly against the block. There is about 1/2" or less between block and wastegate and that makes a horriffic noist when boost is blowing against the block.
Travis just dont build so much boost

heres the wheels

google search, it was a white 4x4 dually with a single stack and roll pan. i slammed it, tried to make it grey, and pulled the big AT's in a lil bit
Well it was not the wastegate, nor the head gasket that caused all of my worry, the valve cover spacer needed clearanced for the head studs that caused all of the oil and a intercooler boot bolt was loose, not one that we even touched, must have been from when it was repaired at cliffs from the accident. Took it for a test drive after a retorque tonight to 130# and she is running like a top. Now all I have to do is an oil change and antifreeze change and I am good to go.
PS thanks to Scott again for making me think rational and not going all the way to Harrisburg for a new head gasket tonight.

Well the start of "Project Honda" has been completed (stage 1). My daughter's car has been inspected, corrections to failures made, reinspected and officially tagged.

She is very happy with it and plans to do various mods to make it her own.
Peace

Here's some pics of my $500 Jeep. It's a 1990 Wrangler Laredo, 112,000 miles.
6cyl, 5 speed and the AC works. WOW Ac in a Jeep.
It needs some work, exhaust & some small things. But it was a great deal. I'm very happy. It's gonna be my daily driver.

I told David it would be his when he gets his lisence. That's why he's out washing it right now.
It does need a radio and the overhead speakers.
