Probably a dumb question, but oh well maybe I'm dumb. What are is the purpose of the bars? The do look cool.

 

To prevent axel wrap ... and the bars look sweet travis

 

The cost was up there, I probibally could have bought a set for what I made these for. The joints were about $80 each and the tubing was $17/foot.

The purpose of the bars is to keep the axle from wrapping. They do wrap some stock but with an automatic it is not nearly as bad as with a stick. Now that I am well above stock it wraps really bad, espically when pulling a trailer.

 

Anyone who is coming over tomorrow to work on thier truck Bobby & Tim need to bring kerosene or gas. The bullet heater works better on kero than diesel.
This is not a wrenchin day!!! Both bays will be occupied all day.

also i put the j-hook on the wastegate and it just made it worse i really dont know whats wrong with it. let me know if you have any ideas.

Thats cool, i was gonna say how the hell did you know i needed to change my oil this weekend lol. But since the lifts are going to be taken up all weekend i guess i will just hold off a little longer. Can a reserve a 1 hour lift time maybe next weekend or some night the upcoming week?
