I thought you guys fixed the heater last year? New issues with the same heater? Maybe Santa will help you out

We worked on a different issue last year, this year it is a new issue. Worked great when we fired it up the first time this year, the second, was not so great. Blew up the ignitor and the circuit board at once.

I have very little heat, I smell antifreeze when I turn on the heat and the lower side of the windsheild is getting a film across it. I'm going to start tomorrow morning and hope for the best....

Congradulations Tom, Grampa! Best of luck.

Good luck Rick. It's not too hard, just takes time. Any questions just call me.
Don't forget the shift indicator under the column, don't want to break that, it's expensive.

Done! 3 Hours Later and I have heat again. I cut open the Heater core to find chucks of some white substance blocking most of the tubes. This job wasnt as bad as I thought since the heater core pops out of the top without seperating the halfs.

Thanks
Rick

Hey, for all you 3rd Gen guys out there who think that your seats are too hard and not thick enough....do the seat mod by adding upholstery foam under the seats.

I dont know how to add a link, but just do a search for "seat mod". I just did it to my seats. Took me an hour and made a BIG difference. The seats are actually comfortable now. Just thought Id pass it along if you havent seen that yet.
