I ain't scared of a little fuel in the cab, just figured I would replace it with the isolator that it is designed for, hopefully someone knows someone that can get one cheaper than the $80+ that the websites want for one.
I never filled it origionally, was not in the destructions to do this. I guess I could try it but it is going to be a pain since the gauge is overhead.
travis i would get a syringe and inject antifreeze from the gauge side into the line and let it bleed down. open the isolator side and let gravity help. i have a syringe around the garage somewhere
You can just pull the line off at the isolator and fill the top of the isolator. You will have to do this a few times because it will force the fluid up the capillary tube and empty the isolator. Like Leonard said air compresses so you were never getting an accurate reading. You need fluid in there so it doesn't compress, and you need to have some antifreeze in the fluid for obvious reasons.
