Stupid "lamp out" light is lit but I can't find a bulb out! Exterior, cargo light 3rd brk light ok. Dash lights??? I do have the led bars on the cab rack but they've been ok before.

 

Did you replace any lights with LEDs (like blinkers, markers, etc...)? Since LEDs use a lot less power the "lamp out" lights as it doesn't see a large load.

 

check tail lights, as well as brake lights, head lights, low beams and high beams, all parking lights

 

for some reason even when i had a rear brake light out it didnt throw the "lamps out" light. when i had a burnt out headlight bulb, it did. you have stock fogs?

 

It is a common problem on the third gens to throw the lamp out but not have a bulb out. The tail light bulb socket has a tendency to get some corrosion in it causing it to throw the lamp out without actually having a lamp out. Just an FYI.

 

Keith, Not replaced but added to cab rack, been ok before for 9 mos.

you may have walked around it with the running lights on but did you check it with the breaks applied. i had that once the running light was fine it was the brake light that was out. they have separate filaments in the bulb.

I got that beat, I am picking up a freshly rebuilt 258 with a cam this weekend for the grand total of...FREE.

Now I just need a clean frame. Of course you paid less for your YJ then I did, so I guess now where about even.

 

Hey Scott. Has ur ADR ever started flashing saying is defueling. (randomly) while all ur PIDS are in the normal range. I was going down 22 2 days ago and was passing the wawa near hcc. All of a sudden the pulse says its defueling. Come back the other way later same thing. same area. Then today had to go past that same area. SAME THING. Just wondering if that has ever happened to you.

It has never done this before. Its weird.
