Hey guys, I dont mean to Jim in on ur conversation, but I want to get the local opinion on the Smarty Jr. You guys are knowledgable in this stuff and Im on the fence about purchasing one. My truck is stock except for an MBRP muffler. How safe is the Jr.? I do tow daily in the spring and summer, sometimes pretty heavy. Whats u guys' take on this?

Might wanna ask Md-Rebel, he just got one...

also, you can not tow with a smarty on a stock transmission.

I tried it on my old man's 04.5 truck, stock trans, and regular smarty on 60hp...and it would shudder the TC every time I hit a hill, or tried to give it some go go juice.

this was with a load of less than 5k lbs.

Im talking about the Smarty Jr., it has an econo 40 hp, towing 70 hp, and performance 100 hp settings. They say that it wont hurt a stock truck and that it actually lowers EGT's while towing. The heaviest I tow is almost 11K, so this might not be a good idea???? Anybody else local have any experience with this? The truck does just fine stock, but I think Im starting to catch the "bug", and want to try something new.

Cummins Cave Performance is out. You know our nick name for the Cave.
i emailed Cummins and here is what they said.
"We cannot authorize the use of the Cummins name to independant shops or enthusiasts. This is because we do not want our name to be used to represent repair practices or agendas which we do not approve. If you feel that you would be a capable authorized repair facility please contact your local Cummins distributor. Cummins distributors authorize dealers to perform work on Cummins product.

Of course we feel we are capable of being an authorized repair facility especially after 5 or 6 beerz
So we can call it Chapter #33 Cave Man Performance!
So do we have any artists in here? I'm thinking a cave man with a club trying to smash the Cummins "C"

Note to the Admin: this is only a Fictional shop it in no way makes money or is used to profit from.
