Got a little more work accomplished this weekend. At first I tried out the LEDs behind the gauges in order to see just how bright they would be.

Not too bad but I wanted to tame them a little bit without dimming the rest of my lights. So I opened up the cluster again. Here's the direction I took. Now that everything was exposed, I painted all of the needles.

I also bought 1157s to replace the front parking/turn signal lights.

One thing I ran into when installing them is, upon turning my running lights on, I get a "bulb out" indication. The light still functions normally as a parking/turn signal/hazard. Supposedly having an electronic flasher should cure that but I have one

Looks great Jimbo...But I'm a little confused on how you "tamed" them down a little? Your first pic they reall seem to glare off the cluster, but after, the light seems just right.
