Hi, I'm new just today and I had some questions about which way to go.
I have a 2001 3/4 ton Dodge Ram T.D. I just installed a Juice / Attitude box and upon firing it up for the first time, after bleeding out the fuel system,
found the fuel pressure to read between 1 and 0 PSI.
It's a lift pump isn't it?
I don't know how long it has been this low untill now.
I haven't noticed any power loss at all, so I'm a little puzzled.
Any direction you can point me to would be great.

Welcome to the site. Bump the starter on you truck but dont let it start, you should be able to hear your lifp pump running 25 seconds or so, if you dont hear any thing its dead. Look into a Fass or Air Dog setup, they are both very good units.

The amazing thing about your VP-44 IP is that it will run with 0 fuel pressure...for a while! Get yourself a better lift pump ASAP or you'll be buying a new VP-44 soon.

I keyed the ignition and the LP ran for about 30-35 seconds.
So, I'm thinking that with 135K miles on the origional equipt. it has to be time to change it out. I'm hearing that these tend to not last for more that 50-60 K if your lucky.
I'm considering myself very lucky. I orgered a replacement pump for now. It only has to last atleast two months. That will give me enough time to purchace a FASS system or an Airdog. I'm still not sure which is better.

I put the new replacement pump in and now i'm getting 15Lbs at idle.
I have a very close friend that owns a Napa store here in town and he said he would help me figure out the best one to buy as a perminant replacement
(FASS or Airdog) He likes the FASS a little more but said they are real close to the same.
I would have waited and bought the one I really wanted but I need to hit the road this weekend and that made my mind up for me. It's a waste of money, but it'll do for a few months. (I pray)
