New to DTR
Hi, I recently registered on DTR but have been lurking for awhile. I'm pretty new to forums in general (etiquette, usage, tech, etc) so please be a bit patient with me. If I mess something up feel free to let me know.
I owned a 1995 Cummins truck for about 12 years but sold it due to a back injury. I figured my days of shoveling a ton of stone out of a truck were over and money was getting tight so it left my yard. Things got better and I went through a couple of older F150s but quickly grew tired of chasing a mile of vacuum lines and checking/replacing any of 14 different sensors to get them to run reliably. And I missed having a Cummins.
A couple months ago I discovered a derelict 1992 W250 Cummins Club Cab 5 speed truck almost exactly a mile from my house. It had been sitting for 4 years and the owner was ready to see it leave. He was even nice enough to tow it to my place behind his 2nd Gen dually when my F150 failed to do so.
It needs some work. Right now I'm concentrating on the drivetrain, then brake system, then fixing rust to get a sticker on it. It needs a clutch and trans so it's getting a South Bend and an NV4500. Brake system probably needs complete replacement so it's a good time for me to convert to Hydroboost and rear disc. I'm planning on doing all of the relatively cheap/easy mods first and go from there. Probably going to stay in the 350hp range.

Welcome to the DTR! Glad you're back in a Cummins, I cringe at the thought of not having one in the driveway.
As far as forums go, the DTR is more of the adult page- meaning we don't really go for the trolling and immature stuff, we're a big family here. As long as you're respectful and courteous (good first post, by the way), you'll be right at home.
Check out our forum rules if you like, and feel free to ask if you have any questions.

And get some pics of that new truck up!!

Thanks! I looked over the rules earlier. Seems pretty reasonable. I'm not too tech savvy but I'll try to put up a few pics according to the tutorial in this section.
