Site rules refresher.
Dear DTR Members,
As our website constantly grows, (which is because of you, and we appreciate the fact that you're here), we like to re-visit the forum rules from time to time.There's a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo in there, (which you are encouraged to re-read), so I'll just hit the stuff that really applies to 99% of the members:

You agree, through your use of the DieselTruckResource.Com forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, racially based or biased, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. Legal actions can be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you and you show proof of ownership or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material and you can show proof of consent. In addition, for the use of this forum, profane posts should be considered those completely spelled words, or partially spelled words with use of keyboard symbols that suggest a profane meaning. We repeat, profane posts will absolutely not be tolerated on this website and its forums.
Spam, flooding, advertisements, group buys, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate on DieselTruckResource.Com. If you are a vendor, and use our private messaging system to Spam other users with your products, you will be banned immediately, no questions asked. Do not send private messages to users trying to sell your product unless the user sends you an inquiry message first. If you purposely register more than one username, all of your usernames will be banned and removed until verbal or written explanation is given to the webmaster.
If you are not a paying advertiser on the DieselTruckResource.Com forum, you may not place advertisements in your signatures or posts for your products or website. Paid site advertisers may post information on special deals or sales in the public forum ONCE PER MONTH. Pricing may not be given in the post. The post shall not contain full details of the sale or special. The post must contain a link to the vendor website that better explains the special or sale. To be more specific, and a lot of the common things we run into:
Profanity.
I understand that we are all big boys and girls, but we like to keep this place 'G' rated so our little ones/wives/loved ones can come on here and not be offended. Second to this, we do not allow symbols in the place of curse words, for example, 'A$$, D@mn, #%& you,' or anything to this effect, or alternate spellings of curse words, i.e. 'dam' or 'shat'.
The language has been getting out of hand lately, let's bring it back to the good G rated level.
Advertising.
More often than not, a harmless mistake. We do not allow any type of advertising on the forum (unless you are a paying advertiser) of any item, regardless of the fact that you're trying to help someone out, you're looking for something, (wanted to buy), or it's a really good deal. This also includes the content of your signature, please do not put links or information about something you are trying to sell or promote in your signature. If you list your mods in your signature, please do not post links to them. The only exception to this is if that person/company is a current paying advertiser here on the DTR.
We have sponsors that support this website and make it free to all of you, and it would not be fair for someone to get the same advertising free of charge that they pay for. Also on this subject is trading... i.e. 'Who wants to swap 4.10 gears for my 3.73 gears.' Take that stuff to our free classifieds.
Speaking of the classifieds, if you own a business, please do not try to sell your products through our classifieds. Buyer beware, we are not liable for what goes on between a seller and a buyer. However, if, by chance, you encounter a problem with a sale or purchase from our classifieds, please let us know, and we will do what we can to help.
Bashing/flaming/negative posting.
This one falls under the golden rule... if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Feel free to disagree with anyone you like, just do it in a mature manner. Please be respectful to each other.
Attachments/pictures/links to websites.
Make sure they are 'G' rated... this includes any comments on the page that your link led to. Also, if you post a link to another website, make sure that someone is not specifically advertising that product.
Street racing:
We're not big fans of it here... mainly because it is very dangerous, not only for you (or the person racing), but also for innocent bystanders. Make sure any discussion of racing is on the track.
If you come across a post that you do not think is appropriate for the DTR, please report it using the
icon at the top of each post. When you do this, all of the moderators can see it, and we will get to it ASAP. Don't be scared to use this feature!
Please note the very last line in the rules above...
Some things that are not in the rules specifically we monitor and remove from time to time... if this happens to you, we try to send a PM explaining why. Sometimes, we get busy doing something else. If you have a question about something, please PM one of us, or post the question in the 'site questions' forum. We try to be as fair as possible, just work with us a little.
As always, we (the moderators) are here for you, the member. That is our primary job. Please let us know if you need help with something or have questions.

A small change: Please do not post craigslist/e-bay etc. ads on the forums. It conflicts with our advertising policy and agreements that we have with our sponsers.
