Introduction, New to the Cummins Diesel world...

Hello all,

I'm a newly registered Diesel offender, recently purchased a Ram 3500 Mega Cab Laramie 4x4 with a whole lot of options. I don't plan to do much towing... yet, however I may in the near future. I'm currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and purchased my truck with a Power of Attorney through my parents. I'm a huge Dodge/Mopar fan, and have been driving dodge trucks since the early 90's (I turned 16 in 1996). I look forward to reading and learning more about the cummins, and picking up some tips and tricks along the way. I haven't seen my truck in person yet, however I do have some photos posted on my profile. When I get home towards the end of November, I'll try to get some more photo's up.

When I'm not playing the games of the Army, I volunteer a lot of my time as a firefighter in Savannah, Georgia. If I do any maintenance on the truck that I feel will be of some use somewhere, I'll try to get some good photo's and do a DIY thread.

My previous vehicles have included a 2002 3.9L Dakota 4x4 club cab, a 2008 5.7L Ram 1500 quad cab, a 1993 3.9L dakota club cab. Members of my family still own a 1999 Durango 5.2L and a 1999 dakota 5.2L. So I'm definitly quite capable of discussing a little bit of mechanical stuff. Not to mention I work on Helicopters for the Army.

I'm new to posting on forums, so give me a little help on all the mumbo jumbo stuff when it comes to posting in the wrong forum, or posting period.

I am new as well. Our purchased my 2nd. Cummins diesel. Started off with a 91 w250 dodge cummins 12v and decided to upgrAde to a 97 black dodge 2500 12v cummins. My favorite is def the 12v cant really enjoy the 24v. But recently I installed a 5in diamond eye exhaust on my 97 and I love the way it sounds.
