Hello from SE Wisconsin

Hi guys,

I've been looking over the different Cummins forums here and I chose to join this one.

I have a 2007 2500 quad cab, RWD, with the 6spd manual, all stock, no mods and I just turned 70k on the clock.

I tow a 30' travel trailer. This summer, I plan on towing at least twice a month within a three hour drive one way.

I plan on doing some deletes, starting with the CCV filter seeings that it doesn't require a programmable tuner.

What I would like is to get better fuel mileage when towing. With the truck loaded down and pulling the Titanic, I average 12 mpg. Even if i can boost this to 14, I'd be happy.

I've heard about tunes that change fuel curves and such, but there are almost always horror stories attached to them that usually deal with burned pistons or other fuel related damage. These are NOT for me. And no, I don't need any mods that will yield 24mpg loaded or not.

As far as emmission testing goes, here in Wi., if you go in and the check engine light is off, you pretty much pass. Are there any other members here that have deleted the DPF, EGR and other junk that still pass the emissions?? There is no visual inspection in Wisconsin.

I plan on keeping this truck for a LONG time, hopefully 300k plus miles.
