I'm new to diesel but falling in love with them, recently purchased a 03 2500 5.9 HO. Some how screwed up and spelled diesel wrong for my user name but trying to get a hold of some admins to get it fixed. If anyone has any info for a beginner it would be great, some must do's for diesel, this might sound stupid but when when shutting a diesel of is there a proper way to do so, I know the shaking is normal or from what I've heard it is. I'm currently using the fleetguard LF16035 and running a schaeffer supreme 7000 oil but thinking about switching to Kendall super D-3 because it is much cheaper and just as good from what I hear.

Nothing really normal to shutting it down just when towing let it cool for a minute or two so the turbo cools. Shaking is normal as well as a squeak upon shutdown.
You are running the best oil filter you can buy.
