Question 2000 Ram 3500 dually 340,000+

have been visting this site for months, decided to join. Lots of helpfull info. Just rebuilt the 47re tranny. My first try at rebuilding an automatic. Tranny works great, except for when I put it in reverse it seems to lunge with a lot of torque, almost like it starts like normal in reverse, then shifts into overdrive reverse. i have adjusted the bands several times. The looser the rear band the better it acts, but still does it. Can't seem to find any info on where to start. the rebuild included new torque converter, complete flushing of lines and cooler. i didn't take the valve body completely apart. Just took off various componets, cleaned and reinstalled. Any Ideas other than the pressure testing (don't have access to gages)

Welcome to the DTR.

I can't help you on the tranny issue, however, you might want to post in the 2nd gen forums, those guys will help you out.

As far as pressure testing, I think someone built a cheap gauge kit... ?
