I know we've had countless threads on stacks,
but I tried something that I haven't seen around here, and I'd like to get opinions. It makes it a little quieter in the cab with the windows up, but w/ them down you hear more exhaust than valve noise out the pipes. It's growing on me. Also, I want to see ya'lls stacks.

Its nothing special, but I like it better than running the Y, and pipe in the bed, takes up less space. I had a setup just like it on my old 12valve, from Forrest, who owned the truck before me, and I like how it sounded/took up less space. And its funny, with the stacks being a little short and the sound bouncing off the back of the bed back towards the cab, if you just crack a window, it cuts the resonance down a ton. Maybe ill get around to doing some more sound deadener on the roof of the cab and front floor to finish it up, so I can roll around with the windows up in the Texas heat
Really nice trucks...stacked97 what size down pipe do you have...i was thinking of going with a 5 inch straight pipe no cat and no muffler to 6 inch stacks and im wondering how it will sound..keep the pics comin
I can tell you it will sound great, But VERY loud in cab and out. The 2200rpm drone will definitely be a little louder too. But it would be awesome. Sound deadener will help too.
I'm thinking about doin it soon just tryin to make up my mind on what size it should be...i don't care how loud it is just want it to sound great
