Won't start

OK, installed new injector nozzles and now we have to bleed it to start it everytime it sits for more then 30 mins. When the new nozzles went in, we made sure that the push tubes (brand new) got seated properly. These nozzles were professionally installed on the injector and new o rings and copper seats were added. Any ideas? Moms getting tired of giving up her Jeep! Thanks,
Mark & Brandon

Assuming the problem started with the injector change, I would check to be certain that you used new O-rings, and that you properly torqued the injector hold down bolts. Too much torque will distort the O-rings and allow leakage that lets air into the system and will lead to drain-back of your fuel. Also, be sure you did not undertorque the high pressure fuel line fittings. Air leaks are real common with low torque, and you will get internal fuel leaks and air leaks with too much torque.

Silly question but, did you make sure ALL the old copper seats came out with the old injectors?

All O rings were new. Copper seats are new. Injector retainers were torqued to 90 inch pounds (spec). How does a guy torque the fuel line fittings? We just tightened as much as possible with an open end wrench.

A crows foot and torque wrench. I never have used one, but to be right on spec one should.

Lubing the o-rings with a small amount of engine oil before assembly makes a big difference.
