tonight I installed my thuren fab stuff. I removed the bats so I could get to the shock tower brackets. After I put everything back together and went to start the truck it runs really ruff. I got codes 2509 and 0148. I used the smarty to clear the codes and disconnected the bats for a few minutes and still have the same problem. The truck will bearly stay running and if I give it a little throttle a huge plum of the black stuff poors out. I have checked everything and really need some help.

 

I changed the fuel filter and that didnt not help.

P0148 High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) Fueling Error Checksum

Double check the battery connections ....that could be the P2509 Code. Did you have any other connectors unplugged? Look at the back of the CP3 pump, and also look and the connections on the fuel rail. May have had one or the other come loose? Also be sure to check all the connections to the Edge and Quad boxes.

 

Ck the dr side pos batt terminal opposite of the pinch side,the fuse link there is the power up to the ecm-if its loose it could give some weird problems

 

Did it run fine before the install? is this a 5.9 or 6.7?

 

Well I got it figured out for some reason my quad fuel rail sensor shorted out. I took if off and the truck fired right up and runs like a champ!!!!!!

I am glad that was all it was I was starting to freak out a bit.
