Won't Hot Start
Won't Hot Start
This just started a day or two ago. Starts fine stone cold, and runs great once started. But once the trucks been warmed up (10-12 miles) shut it down and it won't restart. Cranks fine both cold and hot. Just seems like it's not getting fuel when hot. The Holley Blue in place of the original lift pump is putting out about 12-14psi. No ckeck engine light. Any ideas would help.
So if it's the VP-44 does anyone know of a good shop in central Indiana? I do my own oil changes and stuff, but I don't have the tools or skills for this. Should I go to the dealer and just "take it like a man"? There's a Cummins shop in Indy. Would that be a good choice?
what you should do is drop by autozone and have them read your codes. Post back what you find.
For me, a dealer is a last resort. Id take it to Cummins (will be worth the extra money to have it done right) or call around and talk to some independant diesel shops or just do it myself.
