While using my windshield wipers intermittently, they stop half way (right in my line of vision driving...not safe) for a few seconds, before continuing on. They work perfectly during regular use, this only happens with the delay...or intermittent use. Anyone have any thoughts?

 

Intermittent wiper module or switch. IMO.

Do they return to parking position properly from the low setting if you turn them off while they are on their way?
If yes I think it could be worthwhile to check the ground of the wiper motor.
If no the wiper motor contact ring may be shot.
