I purchased (mabey too soon) a set of American Racing wheels Atlas 660 series chrome 8 lug 6.5 bolt pattern 17x10" with 4.5" of backspace.

I have a 2500 4x4 with 2" spacer lift on front end.

My plan was to get the rims, then purchase the H2 bfg takeoffs and mount them on the new rims.

cquestad on this site doesn't think they will fit... thinks they will rub the metal.

According to my wheel guy, if I have tires mounted on the rims then I can't return them!!

What do I do. I'm going to tampa tomorow to buy the H2 bfgs.

the BFG's call for at least an 8.5 inch width tire. how much bearing does this have on abnormal wear on the tire. I do a lot of driving and average a set of tires every 10 months. I just don't want them to wear out prematurly if I have to go with a 17x8" rim.

any thoughts or help would be greatly apprec.

I would get a 2inch coil spacer for the front, but I would get the tires, I got a buddy running a set of 35x12.50x17 bfg krawlers on his stock 04 with hummer wheels and no lift. no rub.
