wierd fuel pressure reading

Well I finally got around to putting in my gauges (fuel and pyro) And here is the results. My pyro is at around 325 at Idle and at 650 at cruese And if I get on it it goes to about 900. I dont know if that sounds right to me. Oh yea it is An Isso done just like most recomend on this site, Pre turbo.

Now the real problam, I put in the isso fuel pressure gauge with Isolater. It is plummed from bottom of filter to Isolator, and then right to the gauge via 1/8" tube.
When I first started it It read aound 11psi and then dropped to 5. Now I am luckey if it is at 3psi.
What could I have done wrong ? I followed the directions to the tee.
Now I just put a new lp in a couple of months ago. It couldent be bad allready, could it. I think If I can make it tomorrow I am going to try and find a under the hood fpg, to see if it is the gauge. Can I get one from napa or something? Sorry for all the Questions , I just cant believe the readings I am getting.

You could get a cheap guage to verify readings under the hood. Could be the LP is bad though.

Its probably easier to just bypass the isolator and run the fuel temporarily to the guage. That way you can see if its the isolator of not.

Youre LP is likely dead...and yeah, guys "have" gotten dead LP's right out of the box.

Some people have had good luck with isolators and other haven't.... For testing purposes hook it straight up... and see what happens...

Yes.. a LP pump can go bad quickly. I heard stories of the dieing as quick as the next day or being dead in the box.

Well this morning I started her up and had around 11 psi untill the truck warmed up and again at zero!! I have thought that my moter was getting louder but I bet its the lp.
I cant beleive carter would build shuch crap!!!!
So I have decided to go with the FASS system, I orderd it today from ADT for $569 . That should be the end of that.
I was going to buy a used comp this weekend from someone on this bourd. But this threw a wrench in that idea.
Any idea where I hook my fuel pressure gauge on the FASS?

I would look at the FASS II and save yourself $200. Just uses your old filter housing. Either way you go its an improvement.

Its a delicate pump bolted to a vibrating beast. Not a good plan, longterm.

I just installed the FASS and now my pressues won't go below 18 PSI at WOT sits at 21 idle. FASS does have a port on the side of the unit for a fuel pressue guage but I wanted to know what the pressure is before the IP, so I put in a Vulcan T.

Even if you installed your pressure guage on the FASS test port, its still before the Injector pump... Didnt "need" the Vulcan T.
