hey guys started to take head off a 97 12 valve for a HG and when i got the exhaust down and air box out off way i was able to see better at back of head i was able to rub my hand at the seem and didnt feel anything wet so i put some water in and then i was able to see it edit out back of block at welch plug. iam wondering wats easyier to take head off or to take out trany.

Are you sure don't need head gasket?
Are you sure you can't work plug in as is?
Pulling trans would be easier for me and less disturbing.
Someone else may be more familiar.
