Ladies and Gentlemen, I need some help. I'm currently traveling 1K miles from home(icey Oklahoma) and stopped to get a refreshment, when I got back in the truck and started it up...The motor had a MAJOR vibration to it. Like a balancer was gone. It did it once before at about 8K (have 90K now)miles but not since.

I would put it in gear, go forward a couple of feet, go backwards a couple of feet same thing. Shut off/started several times and BAMM it was gone.

Any ideas? send them along, TIA!!!!

Tom, what codes did you pull the first time, and what codes did you pull the second?

 

Never any codes

 

Just at an idle? or would the vibration go up and down with engine speed?
get worse when you put it in gear?

 

The vibe changed with engine speed but not with gear change.
