Water in oil
Help!! Have 93 Cummins with water in oil. I have replaced the oil cooler and gaskets and made sure they were properly torqued. I have taken head off and it was milled .010 inch and checked for cracks. Head was torqued with new proper thickness gasket and new bolts were used. Still water in oil. Today I took injector pump off and pulled the tappet cover to check the freeze plugs - they looked fine. Are there any other internal freeze plugs? Does anybody have any ideas? This thing is driving me nuts!! Also there were little tiny droplets of oil in the coolant last time I filled it up with water. Trying to get it together to go to Mopar Nats next weekend.
Update! The head was checked for cracks and was a 69,000 mile head. The machine shop said it looked so good that they didn't pressure test it. Has anybody had internal cracking on first gen. heads that was internal and not detectable by magna-fluxing. Should I take the head back off for a pressure test?
Thanks,
Hemi505

well same thing happend to my 24v. there are only so many things that could cause that.
1-headgasket (which mine was)
2 cracked head
3 oil cooler
4 cracked block.
thats pretty much the only way possible to get oil into your coolant. if you checked the head and gasket, as well as new oil cooler, might be a cracked block.
