Water in fuel from texaco in mesquite,tx.
Like previously posted document everything, I would pull the tank and have it steam cleaned (You could do the vent mod as well) there's no telling what else is in there.. Depending on the extent (cost) of the damage you might want to turn it in on the insurance and let them fight with the water disposal station..
The state of Texas fuel regulatory agency might be another avenue to pursue as well..
Sorry about you mess...

That's where i thought it was its the only Texaco i could think of on Kearney.I drove by there yesterday and the diesel pumps are closed.Good luck on getting that mess cleaned up.Is the station going to man up or deny the incident
i used to work at a mobil gas station as a AAA/oil change/fix pump guy... anyhow i'd say immediately after they started the ethonal gasoline the water seperators would clog constantly, went from changing them once every few months to once every few hours, started selling premium fuel for regular price just to keep daily customers... all because first the ethonal gas asorbed moisture like a sponge... something along those lines at least, alot of places swallowed their losses and others eliminated the filter/water seperators all together(foreign owned ones, you know who im talking about). Getting to the point... its possible that the owners of the station were unaware of the problem and its just a bad tank and they are getting it taken care of. Maybe someone forgot to close the hatch, and it rained or idk... i'm just trying to think how the orange color and that much water would get in the tank.. unless its an older steel tank which has rusted through
that would be a big EPA problem...

I know where the station is at ... and do not know why they should not have water in all of there fuel ... they just do not have the business and in the last few weeks with all the water we have had .. I am sure they got water in there fuel
Stations are suppose to have a alarm hooked to there tanks telling them the water in the fuel is to much and the state is also suppose to test stations for water, accuracy of there pumps and also the auto fuel cut off working ... so not only the station is not up to date and also the state is not keeping up with there tests

Just a followup.. I got my truck back from Grapevine dodge, and it almost runs like before. With the edge on 6, I think I am draining the rail. I need to add some more gauges.
Total cost? 11,400.00
My insurance company is going after the gas station insurance company. Every part of the engine that touches fuel was replaced.
