Wastegate Sensor Screw Gone help!

today i was just looking under the hood of my truck and i was going to adjust the idle and i happend to look at my wastegate sensor or boost elbow and the screw was gone.

me and my dad had an arguement over wether or not it would hurt the engine, it was in there the last time i checked and it ran fine the night before.

can it damage anything by not having that screw in there?
can i just stick another screw in it or do i need to get a whole nother wastegate sensor?

my truck is a 1997 dodge ram 2500 12 valve cummins turbo diesel 4wd 5 speed.

No problem without the screw but I'd try to find one to put in there.
