Where is the best place to get a replacement VP44 and how much $$$ are we talking about?

Don't know of anyplace in Oklahoma. Are you planning on installing it yourself? If so I know a great pump guy in Ca. Not sure on the price but if you have problems finding one locally I can give you his number.

I got mine from Diesel injection service in san antonio texas. You will pay $1050.00 for a remanufactured pump.

 

If you do without the truck for a few days, I would recommend taking your pump to be rebuilt. I had mine rebuilt for $688.00 at a local repair shop that the Cummins dealer refered me to. I was very happy to not pay the $1200.00 I was expecting. Now my truck runs great and I am very pleased.

 

Thanks for the info. Got a "new" reman from a dealer friend at his cost, $1,050, and had it installed by late Saturday afternoon.
