Turbo install question....

I can not get the back bolt closest to the block out of the turbo/manifold. Any suggestion what to use? Or how to get at it better. I am tempted to pull the maifold but are the gaskets reuseable? Should I try a impact gun with alot of extensions?

Thanks for any advice....

Should be accessible with a straight ring wrench and a selection of the fines swearwords. I hce bent one of mine about 10 degrees and it works like a charm.

Soak the turbo bolts with KROIL or penetrating oil if you can wait... otherwise, try different combinations of wrenches and cussing

i ground my box end wrench to reduce the outside diameter so it fit better. the several days of kroil, and then i used my propane torch to heat the nut alittle, shot kroil in there when my wrench was applying alittle pressure and off she came.

i would agree with dodgezilla04 grind down the outside of the box end wrench and heat it up and bend it a little so it will fit. then take a small hammer of some kind and wack that wrench and that bolt will come loose.

Don't know what you used but if you used a real penetrating oil such as Kroil you probably wouldn't have had a problem. WD-40 isn't penetrating oil

I took mine off w/ manifold and then used a box end wrench with a long pipe.

PB is good, long extension on an impact gun is bad.
