Truck won't start!!

I backed the truck out of the garage into the street; turned around and backed down the hill into the driveway. I turned the key off and proceeded to connect my fuel pressure test gauge to the vp44 test port. After connecting the gauge, I started the truck and it ran for less than a minute and died. I tried starting the truck several times and it would crank but wouldn't start. The only thing that I did other than iconnect the pressure gauge was to loosen the valve core on the vp44 test port. I cycled the ignition key and two codes came up, but, I don't know how long the codes have been there. The two codes were P PCU; -------; and P ECU. I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

As regards my post above, I left off part of the codes that displayed. The codes were actually P PCU ------ P done and P ECU ------ P done. There were no numerical codes present. I replaced my lift pump 4 months ago and the truck's fuel pressure has been good through last month when I checked it.
I tried to start the truck a few minutes ago by holding the go pedal to the floor and cranking for 15 seconds but it still wouldn't fire. It's dark now so I will wait until tomorrow to try again. I'm a novice mechanic so I hate the thought of cracking an injector to see if there's fuel coming out. I'm a one man crew so it looks like I may be calling a wrecker Monday and taking the truck to the dealer to find out what's wrong. Since the truck is backed down a hill in the driveway, it will be interesting to see how the wrecker driver gets it up on his truck.

Do you have fuel pressure at this time? If not, it's possible that your LP is dead and the inj. pump has been sucking up the fuel itself, until you interrupted its flow by hooking up the pressure gauge and introducing air to the system. Even if the LP is working, it's possible that it got a gulp of air and just needs bled. Especially if the rear of the truck is downhill. As soon as you opened the system, the fuel in the line took off back to the tank, sucking air in behind it as it went.

Finally got my truck running this morning. Somehow I managed to get some air in the injector pump. I did find out that the lift pump works fine when I loosened the banjo bolt at the vp44 test port and bumped the starter.

I want to especially thank crobtex for calling me last night and giving me some pointers on how to solve the problem. Awful nice thing to do for somebody you don't even know.
