Truck won't start

The other day I was messing around looking to see if I had a 53 block. I guess when I was pulling wires around to see I grabed ahold of the wire that goes to the starter and it broke. It was all correded right where it bolts up to the starter and that is where it broke. Well I got that fixed today and my truck still doesn't start. When you turn the key you here a click, click put the starter doesn't turn over. WHat could be the problem? It is on my 01. thanks

If you just hear a click/click, it can only be a couple things.

1. Bad or loose connection.
2. Dead Batt.
3. Starter junked on ya.

Start with all your connections, make sure they are all clean and tight. Check at the batt too, clean the terminals and smear a little vasiline on them, (helps with the corrotion). Also if you say it "broke" ant the connection, maybe it has corroded up the wire (under the insulation). I have seen that stuff follow up a wire for a foot or two!

When I replaced the end I could see that it was corroted under the insulation. I did clean up the end when I put the new one on though. Do you think that the wire is bad?
