truck wont start

truck wont start

i recently installed a fass and truck has been running great. today i stopped home for a bit when i went to leave she wont start i have interior lights bright and they are not affected when i hit the key but the radio is there is nothing not even a crank with full lights what gives

it sounds like the ground on the starter is not connected. check it and see if it has fallen out. if it has just put it back in and it will start. You need to fix it so tell me if it has fallen out.

I would guess the starter , even if everything was good you should be able to detect a dim of lights when the starter starts to pull current .
With no dimming I would suspect the connections or starter , the starter is not drawing power , ing. sw. also , jumper the small wire at starter solenoid & use test lite to see if power is coming from ing. sw. to starter , in start pos. , if you have power , then battery jumper cable direct from batt. to starter - if works maybe connection , if not rap on starter body with hammer handle while someone is turning key - if that works , replace or rebuild , do not forget the larger solenoid contacts .

My truck did the same thing. Turns out the fuse under the hood was blown (15 amp I think) replaced the fuse and it blew it again. Turned out it was the starter . If so they are super easy to R&R.

well new starter and nothing which fuse i tried swaping out some of them but no luck . i have a remote start and it goes threw the motions like its going to and shuts down starter never engages.
