My truck started acting up on me again with a intermittent Bumping in and out of lock up. I'm familiar with this problem. It is caused by a bad ground and noise entering the pcm. OK so i did everything i could to fix that problem besides take it to someone (last resort). Well on my way home from work today i crank her over and no tac, fuel, oil pressure, nothing and the truck is still running. So i shut her down and fire her back up. It runs with displays back up and a check engine lite. So i take her to auto zone and get the codes off of her and i get 1. p1698 2. p1690 3. p1698 4. p1690 in that order.

P1690 Fuel Injection Pump CKP Sensor Does Not Agree With ECM CKP Sensor

I believe that the 1698 is the lock up problem but i have no idea what the 1690 is. Does anyone know if they are related and in what way?

I've heard the stories of chasing the elusive bad ground and I'm chasing it as i type. but if i find it and fix it will it also take care of this other code?
