I replaced my master cylinder and booster yesterday. Today I drove about 20 miles and the truck just shut off, like I shut the key off. I jumped from the battery to the shutoff solenoid, and got a click. Unhooked a wire from it, made a bare spot and ran the jumper to that, and had a dead short. Unhooked both wires from the solenoid and it worked again, so I cut the one wire and spliced the jumper to it so I could keep it connected to the solenoid to get home. Did I loosen a wire on the keyswitch when I was under the dash yesterday? Or did the keyswitch go bad? Fusible links anywhere, I couldn't find any? Anything that gets its power through the key is dead, signals, radio, gauges, etc.
