Transfer case woes

I have made a couple of posts thinking I lost the rear end in my truck and then moving on to the 5th gear nut and knowing I was needing a clutch. The truck finally failed and would not move in any gear and had parts ready to replace the fifth gear nut and clutch. Talked with a tech at Standard transmission and he said if it would not move in 2 or 4 wheel drive it was the input shaft or the clutch but not fifth gear nut. So the shop tore into the problem and what is really wrong is the transfer case works in low range but has no output in high range either forward or reverse. So waiting to see what is wrong in there. Any ideas about parts that are needed? What fails in the transfer case to give no output? Living in Hawaii has it problems with getting parts and trying to get ahead of the game. Been down 5 weeks now.

Most of the times the chain can stretch or break, could be a shift fork broken, low range working high not slipped into N can't return to 2/4 high. just my .02 cents
