Trans trouble

I am having trouble with my trans going into limp mode. It will only do this when I get on the throttle hard. I can remove the fuse for thePressure-loc and it will take more throttle before the trans goes into limp mode. I have installed the resistor that came with the Pressure-loc in the orange wire (if I remember correctly) at the computer. If I drive the truck easy it won't give me any problems (ie. 3/4 throttle or less). The only code I have is P0743. I am thinking that it is pressure related, maby the pressure sensor. What do you all think?

maybe your resistor is bad....did you use a 1/4 to 1/2 watt,,150 ohm resistor??has it done it ever since you installed the pressure loc?or did it start going into limp at a later date?did you solder your resistor in or just wrap the wire around the ends?......if you put the resistor in the orange wire with a black tracer,,thats your convertor lock up control,,and wouldnt be the wire you want(its used with a switch to ground for a lock up switch)make sure your resistor is in the solid orange wire in the center harness of the pcm.....governor pressure exceeding app. 116psi for 2 seconds or more will put you in limp mode if you dont have the resistor in the correct wire..wish you luck with it,,,bama

Thanks for the tips Bama. I just looked and the resistor is in the orange wire. It is soldered in as well. It looks like it is a 100 ohm resistor though. It has worked fine for almost a year, then I installed a new turbo & gauges and the problem started. I am going to see if I wiggled something wrong and caused a bad connection when I ran the new guage wires. I may need to go to a larger resistor also. It did this before when the shift kit was installed, so I added the resistor at that point. That is why I thought that it could be the same thing again. The only change is this time it will do it with or without the pressure-loc. Before it would only do it when the pressure-loc was active.
