trans temp sensor

What test port do you put the trans temp sensor on a 48re transmission?

Far as I know none of the tranny ports will give a good temp reading on a RE.
Most people buy an output line with port for a '94-'95 and use it.

I know that the line is best but dont want to use that i know I have heard of people on here using one of the test ports.Anyone have any idea which one?

Pick the OD one. It's on the passenger side toward the back (faces the back). It's up out of the way and as equally worthless as any of the others.

This isnt for me it is for a friend who has an 04 that I cant convince to drop the money for the line.

Well if he will splurge a little he can get one of these fitting's and add to his line, or get another line from the dealer. I just did mine today. I went with the first one. $20 from McMaster.
