I have a 94 cummins automatic and it is kinda hunting for gears. While driving at highway speeds it downshifts to 3rd then back to 4th constantly. it also does this when O/D is off. I checked Trans fluid and it looks good. Could this be a faulty TPS or is it something worse??

Checking the TPS would be a good place to start.

Try the ground from the PCM had that pbroblem on my 98.5 cleaned up the grounds had no prob after that
