hi folks. finally got in! got my tranny rebuilt for a 98.5 24v 4x4 quad. shop says there is a shift problem that makes the truck think that its in 4x4 but its in 4x2. had a diesal rated tc. xtra cluthes and shift package installed. something about the control sig or pcm program that is giving it grief. a prior truck is doing the same thing. these guys have been doing these builds a while and never seen this before. any HELP out there?

1 check fluid level on the level in N engine running !

2 read any codes with a can obd 2 scaner !

3 check tps for corret operation

4 wrap altinator wires with foil insulation !

5 verify4x4 is fulley disingaged , sensor ?

6 do the tps reset !

7 have a dealer test pcm !

 

yea thanx. did all that plus checked all associated fuel sig assemblies. gotta call dtt tomarrow to see what they might know. i have heard that the control moduels can give alot of probs. getting a good one is even harder.
