Tranny Line

Truck in sig...

The rubber hose portion of the high pressure side of my tranny lines up towards the cooler is leaking about where the quick connects are. Where can I get that line at? DC wants $100 for the thing. Its just a hose about foot long!!! If anyone knows where i could get it for cheaper or know of a way I could make one please let me know.

Could you make a replacement out of stainless braided line & AN fittings?

Most of the time I find those leaks are caused by a crack where the hard line was crimped to make the ridge on the line where the quick connect snaps on to.

I tried 2 or 3 different aftermarket line types on my truck over 5 years. The third time that I had line failure, I sucked it up and bought both from dodge and have no problems now.

Failure #1 was 25 miles north of home on a two lane road at 10pm. It is not easy to find someone to bring hose, ATF, and be willing to come out to help. Good Luck!

You could have the rubber portion of the line replaced and the old ends crimped on at some industrial place that services hydraulic lines.
