Trailer Plug in - under dash

Can someone explain where the pre-wired plug is under the dash on an 2006? It says left of steering colum by dash pod but we cant locate it? Is it Blue like the harness and does it face (plug) upwards, sideways, etc? Or do you have to pull a cover to access it?
Thanks

Im not sure on a 06, but on the older ones, there is a box to the left of the steering column that has a bunch of wires going into it. They were clipped to the top of this box.

From a quick search it seems on the newer ones it should be a blue connecter and is wire tied to a harness way up under the left side of the dash.

If it's like some others I've seen its just to the right of the emergency brake arm. Theres a plastic box with lots of wires coming out of it the plug is mounted on top of the plastic box faceing you if your looking up there from under the dash. It's behind a bunch of wires so it's hard to see.

Well I called my friend who had an 2005 and he said it was pretty easy to find, blue plug facing you. He then checked his NEW 2006 and said the position had changed: its way up there now. Checked mine and it finially was found: Blue plug, facing away from you...way up above the white plastic box..for others: it was easier to find with your eyes below the bottom of the door level rather than looking under by the foot pedals.
