tail lights

tail lights

i'm having a bad problem with blowing tail light fuses,and now i notice when i step on the brake pedal my dash lights come on. i already change head light switch and the wiring block is still real good. do you have any ideas? thanks

Take the bulbs & connectors out to take a close look sometimes the filaments in bulb , one will burn/break at one end & hit the other filament , also with giving any description of your truck there could be more possibilities , harder to help , if its old enough , the bulbs with a metal base , the lead connectors can get heated up , melt & connect one to the other .
Than again , lack of info on truck [ go to the user control panel & fill in info on truck / at bottom of post , truck description/signature ] , look at rear frame for trailer lite hook up , its common that something there can cause this .

thanks, truck is a 97 ,3/4 ton ,2 wheel drive ext cab cummins diesel ,auto trans,140,000 miles. i'm 2nd owner and it runs really great other than the wiring i have no problems.

thanks john, i found problem,left rear tail light bulb fixture is bad.easy fix. this sure is a nice web site.a friend told me to go here ,and somebody on here could answer any dodge question i have. thanks again.
